So the doors arrived for my house and they spent a couple of hours putting them on so I thought I would do a final day of building showing these pics and then maybe a couple of more pics of the whole house tomorrow.

Last day at work
We just had a little gathering at work and everyone wished me good luck for the future :) It was a nice moment and I was given some great gifts (local currency, cake with my picture on and some random humorous stuff). I couldn't of hoped for more. Thank you Securus and everyone involved for my fantastic send off.

Building Day 13
The last day of building they have now finished the walls.
Time to tidy a bit :)
The only things left to do is to put in some doors and windows which should happen over the next couple of days. The rest (plastering, painting, an extension with toilet and bedroom) will be an ongoing project while I'm over there living here.

Building Day 11
So the main builders wife had to be taken into hospital on 22/04/2013 so there was no progress that day as well as being Moni's Dad birthday also so they rightly celebrated that instead of working :) Next day we hear that the builders wife is fine and get on with building once again.
First is the daily pic of Mixer :)

Building Day 10
I got a lot of interest in the child labour in my last post so thought I would share some more pics of Mixer helping out :) and him climbing over some door and window frames.
Everyone stopping for a bite to eat and some thai whiskey. The guy in the white hat is a new addition to the group whom we hired for a couple of days to help build the walls.

Building Day 8+9
So 2 more building days have passed and here's the progress. They used this rudimentary device to flatten all the soil laid out the day before.
Time for the concrete to be poured on and using a trowel to flatten it.
They then laid out some wire mesh on top of that for extra reinforcement in the concrete while also adding sand and stones. I have to admit I don't know exactly why they do everything they do but I trust them and lots of what I talk about I am just giving my best guess as to what and why they are doing it.
Time for the concrete to be poured on and using a trowel to flatten it.
Over the course of the 2 days to finish the flooring the dog and chickens liked to run over the concrete to leave their mark presumably because they saw the family writing their names in the left over cement previous days and thought they would give it a go as well. These paw and chickens feet have to be filled in and levelled out a total of about 6 times while waiting for it to dry :P
